Don't Fret for Bernie Sanders yet!
With the last leg of the 2016 presidential race winding down, the people who supported Vermont Senator, Bernie Sanders are still sour over his loss to Hillary Clinton during the primaries. Sanders lost by a thin margin and even now some are still questioning the election results, however, although Sanders is not a contender for the White House, his supporters and fans shouldn’t throw in the towel just yet. As a matter of fact, regardless of who wins the presidency, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders’ power and influence will be ten times greater and here’s why.
Clinton and Trump have many opposing views and ideologies. Actually, Clinton has agendas, not ideologies and Trump has goals. If Trump wins and the Republicans still hold the majority of legislator positions, his plans will move head with ease to a degree. Clinton would face the pro-Republican House and Senate but she knows how to 'game' and would be quite the opponent. Both Clinton and Trump will not go after corruption so nothing will change. All they'll achieve is keeping the status quo afloat whilst they and their cohorts 'pick off the skim' of ill gotten gains.
Or so they think.
Although Clinton and Trump are drooling at their prospective hauls, they've forgotten about not only Bernie Sanders, but the unprecedented movement he's forged. Because of Sanders' educating the public and making all aware of the way underhanded politics is done, there are now millions of watchdog groups worldwide, fact checking, filing legal motions, commandeering media, protesting, using whatever means necessary to fight against corruption than any other time in history.
Sanders has a global army of people backing him up. No one since FDR has had such support. Whomever wins the White House will have to deal with Sanders and his supporters who are still growing in power and number. With his new found support and notoriety, funding, and more, Bernie Sanders will be the consummate 'thorn in the side' of government, big business corruption the likes of which the world has never seen.
It won't take long for Sanders new found powers to be called to the fore. During the first 3 to 6 months after the new president takes office, Clinton or Trump, they'll have engaged in some sort of idiotic corruption scheme that will be their undoing. That's when Sanders like a great Bald Eagle will swoop in and make short work of them.
It's not a matter of 'if', it's a matter of 'when'.Posted by GregB at October 28, 2016 10:06 PM
