End Of Debates, On To The Battlefield
Now that the three presidential debates are over, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have to get back onto their horses and charge into battle. It’s not going to be nice, clean, nor merciful.
So far, both candidates have been hit with accusations ranging from criminal conduct to sexual scandal. It's the stuff that the worst campaigns are made of and goes all the way back to the early presidential elections since the United States was founded. Yes, elections in the old days were just as nasty and violent and underhanded. If you think today's accusations and headlines are startling, you've not done your historical homework. The difference nowadays is that thanks to hacking and video, no secret goes unturned and both candidates are feeling the bite of the techno terrorists who've been stalking them and posting their most intimate details.
There is no telling what Trump and Clinton will face as popular hackers and freelancers from all over the world go at both of them to the point of overwhelm. Neither can defend themselves and so far, the data gleaned shows two people who know their professions but have put on a false face to the public that is now being peeled layer by layer like an onion revealing the true monsters inside.
Neither Clinton nor Trump are angels. As more disclosures of not only themselves are being exposed, the ominous threat of their families, friends, employees, colleagues are all at risk of computer hacking. What these other people have said and posted secretly could be of extensive damage to both candidates. Basically, no one is safe who is even remotely connected to either Hillary and the Donald.
Both candidates could have avoided it all by focusing on the issues but that was doomed to failure. This is a hacking election, one that might end the way elections are held from hence forward.
The three debates didn't hit the hard points that Americans needed addressed. All they did was expose each candidates' weaknesses, false statements, lies, spitefulness, and questionable associates and actions. Clinton did show how much a professional politician and lawyer she really is by deflecting fact checked data that totally exposed her as deceptive, sloppy, and manipulative. Donald Trump on the other hand, showed that he could take a hit, throw back, and run all bases. Being able to defend oneself against the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune is the stuff of what politicians and big shot celebrities are made of and both Clinton and Trump showed that they can handle their own.Posted by GregB at October 24, 2016 9:10 PM
