Centrists Hung Out To Dry, As Usual

Centrists are left high and dry, as usual this election season. No presidential candidate/incumbent pushing for the abolishment of corporate personhood, REAL campaign finance reform, a flat tax, sanity in federal spending, and so on …

So, we are left to witness a media battle for supremacy at the polls by a couple of individuals currently mired in their own words. Both seem incapable of broaching anything like a policy or a plan that addresses the country's problems going forward.

One has to assume that both parties believe the public can't tolerate the likely result of any plans either party may harbor. While they can mouth sentimental words like 'jobs' and 'outsourcing' they can't provide any meat for the bones.

So, they are left with hurling accusations against each other that leaves the public in a lurch - - gotta vote for one of these guys!! Example in that both accuse the other of outsourcing jobs offshore, as if that is some diabolical and hidden agenda that would surely turn the public off. Admins have been outsourcing jobs for 30 or more years, as has President Obama's admin and Mitt's 'Bain Capital". O'Riellley made note this evening that President Obama appointed GE CEO, Jeffery Imelt to something like a 'jobs czar'. GE has some 300k emps with 130k employed stateside. And, much of the President's stimulus tax dollars went to support GE and similar who used the money to develop their foreign interest. GE paid no taxes in 2011 and holds their profits in offshore accounts to avoid taxation.

Nothing new here. The public is well aware of the cronyism/corruption, and the use of taxpayer dollars to advance corporations offshore interest, such as foreign advertising, etc.

Alas, there are hundreds of thousands of people who would make good presidential candidates such as Walker, ex-GAO chief but those kind of people can't get through the fog of special interest money, etc.

Otherwise, we have the Corpocracy we deserve.

J2, please feel assured you will never have to deal with a flat tax. And, you know that too. The Corpocracy would never give up their access to this great lever of power, giving them the ability to microtune the economy at will thru a change or two to the tax code. And, the Corpocracy loves to be able to make winners and losers in the corporate world. Also, a great way to buy voter loyalty, etc.

I mentioned the flat tax in my post under the assumption that some things would transpire in a certain sequence.

IMO a flat tax could only float to the top after the ascension of a 3rd party with a diff pol attitude followed by the abolishment of corporate personhood, followed by the implementation of REAL campaign finance reform, followed by the abolishment of corporate tax, and ending with the implementation of a flat tax.

On the tax issue, I believe the Corpocracy will try to raise taxes on the middle class as that is a great way to continue busting up the middle class re globalism, etc.

Of course they are, Roy Ellis!
Of course Centrists are held out to dry!

Why do you think Democratics continue to win elections?

If they don’t have any values they rob the voters with dead people votes and multiple votes using people who aren’t legally allowed to vote! Dead people and eligal aliens are the Democratic Party base!

Where is there room for centerists in a system of dead people and illegal aliens?

Be honest, Roy Ellis. Answer that question.

A number of years ago I mentioned voter fraud and I was rebuffed by the guardians of the WatchBlog castle.

Again and again I see news articles exposing voter fraud.

Again and again I see voter fraud validated, yet the election results stand.

Repeal the 16th and the 17th amendments, Roy Ellis and j2t2.

Do it at your earliest convience. Since convience is what you base your decisions on these days.

The People need a third party now more than ever!! The only realistic Candidate is former NM Governor Gary Johnson! An honest, down to earth “real” person, not like the 2 sad characters running now. I live in NM, I know about Gary Johnson. He is the ONLY Independent Candidate worth supporting, and voting for. People must realize there IS a THIRD CHOICE! They don’t have to stay in the 2 party system!

WW, the 16th amendment was/is illegal, never ratified by 3/4ths of the states as required by the Constitutions Article V.

“”After an extensive year-long nationwide research project, William J. Benson discovered that the 16th Amendment was not ratified by the requisite three-fourths of the states and that nevertheless Secretary of State Philander Knox had fraudulently declared ratification.””

The Corpocracy sure doesn’t like Article V as it gives the states and people some power in legislative matters. I’m sure the courts would fight amending the 16th under ‘stare decis’ or something like that.
Much the same as they oppose giving the people access to to their constitutional right to Article V Convention as a path for the people to reform gov’t.

I’m not sure I would like governors like Blogovich picking/choosing senators. But, if amended, then senators would be more responsive to their state/constituents rather than the Corpocracy.

Mara, I believe Johnson needs to collect several thousand more signatures to get on the ballot in Virginia. I would have pulled the lever for Buddy Roemer if he had made the ballot. Therefore, I will vote for Johnson if he makes it and it seems likely he will. To me, a protest vote is way more important than carrying water for the duopoly.

Otherwise -
