Go Home, Occupiers!

In a recent “Occupy” protest, hundreds of protesters paraded outside of Bank of America’s corporate headquarters. Bank of America had scheduled their annual shareholder meeting for today, which is what attracted the protesters to the corporate off in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina.

Some of protesters were fighting against Bank of America's foreclosure process, others against the involvement of financing coal mining in the U.S., while others were just pissed about their bank fees. These occupying protests force authorities to secure the areas around these businesses to prevent any protests escalating into violence. What's so ironic is that a lot of these protesters actually have jobs and homes. So their tax dollars are paying for the protection of their very presence at the protest.

The lack of common sense of these protests is really frustrating because Americans are now trying to take as much as they without contributing anything back in return. Why is it a shock that the banks charge you interest to borrow money? If you can't afford to pay the money back, then lower your budget or don't borrow money at all. It's not that difficult. These rules and systems go back beyond our government.

If your house isn't worth as much now as it was when you purchased it, it doesn't mean you don't owe the money on your mortgage anymore. You borrowed the money, and there's absolutely no reason to think that you no longer have to pay it back. That's just ludicrous. There are millions of Americans working their tails off to make the payments on their homes. When did it become a crime to be a wealthy American? Here's an idea: Quit protesting, go back to work, pay your mortgage, and occupy your own home!

Yes, please go home.
Please stop claiming your 1% represents 99% of Americans.
Please stop pretending you have a clue as to what’s in everybody else’s best interest. You do not.
Please stop demanding something for nothing.
Please accept the fact that the lack of support means the people reject your progressive ideas and little marches.
Please go home and leave the 99% alone.

The occupiers should indeed just go home and stop crapping in the parks. But they are supported by many liberal groups who see these messy kids as noble harbingers of a new order. Of course, anybody who has seen the actual occupation hopes this is not true.

Mears, you lose liberals/progressives when you bring up personal responsibility. Especially when you mention common sense and the failed OWS movement in the same piece.

Odd that they aren’t that interested in defending or even talking about OWS anymore, isn’t it?

Let’s get this post rolling:

Since we are dealing with the OWS protests of BOA:

The latest attacks by Obama and company are upon Romney’s investments in Swiss Banks, which took place several years ago. But guess what:

“Disclosure forms reveal that Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of Congress from Florida, previously held funds with investments in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India. This revelation comes mere days after the Democratic chair attacked presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for holding money in Swiss bank accounts in the past…

“Americans need to ask themselves, why does an American businessman need a Swiss bank account and secretive investments like that?” the DNC chair, a chief surrogate for President Obama’s reelection team, said on Fox News Sunday two days ago. “Just something, a thought, that I’d like to leave folks with.”

To be clear, there is nothing in Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s disclosure forms to suggest that the DNC chair invested in anything illegal. But it is clear that some of her holdings had investments overseas, in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, the state bank of India, and many other overseas holdings.

The hypocrisy, though, is clear: The Democrats, as well as President Obama, hope to paint Romney as an out of touch man for holding money in overseas bank accounts, when in reality their own chairman, Wasserman Schultz, had overseas investments.”

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/dem-chair-invested-swiss-banks-foreign-drug-companies-and-state-bank-india_648350.html

To add to the hypocrisy of the DNC chair; after calling for Romney’s tax returns, she was asked for hers:

“”Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will join Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair John Walsh to discuss former Governor Mitt Romney’s history of fighting transparency amid new reports that the Republican presidential candidate has secret bank accounts in foreign tax havens,” a Democratic National Committee press release states.

The goal for Wasserman Schultz is clear: To get Romney to release tax returns and other financial documents.

But the irony of today’s event is rich: Debbie Wasserman Schultz has refused—and continues to refuse—to release her own tax returns.

In April, around Tax Day, Wasserman Schultz’s Republican congressional opponent, Karen Harrington of Florida, requested the DNC chair release her tax returns. “This week millions of taxpaying Americans will fulfill their requirement of filing their tax returns by paying any and all taxes due to the federal government,” Harrington’s campaign said in a statement. “Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been asking Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney to release his 2011 tax return even after Governor Romney released his 2010 tax return.”

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/dnc-chief-urges-romney-release-tax-returns-wont-release-her-own_648292.html

So far, no returns from Schultz.

As this kind of double standards reaches the ears of the American voter; a sick feeling of liberal hypocrisy ensues. My thanks to the reporters who do not have an agenda of re-electing Obama and are willing to put thier reputation and sometimes life on the line for truth.

Here we go again:

“NAACP Requires Photo I.D. to See Holder Speak in State Being Sued Over Voter ID”

Only in the world of a liberal could something like this be logical.

Frank,
I grew up with a person who went on to rise to the top echelon of Justice. Those people have a lot of very serious enemies- the mob, Mexican drug cartels, and every felon with a grudge against the legal system. You’d better believe there is some heavy duty screening going on when the AG appears in public.

phx8, yes, but don’t you find it a little ironic? The only people Holder has to worry about is the American voters; it seems he has let everyone else go.

And Frank, DWS has a couple thousand dollars in a mutual fund that has some of its investments abroad. That is NOT the same as having a Swiss bank account, Caymens bank account, or corporate holding company in Bermuda. There is no irony. Just a ridiculous talking point that depends on the ignorance and gullibility of conservatives to buy into it. Yeah, those reporters put their reputations on the line, all right.

Seriously. Think about this stuff for a minute or two before posting.

phx8, for all the attacking on Romney about his finances and Bain Capital, it has done nothing for Obama:

“Two things have become clear in the presidential race over the past month. One, it’s evident that President Obama’s campaign team believes, with good justification, that attacking Romney’s record at Bain Capital to portray him as a wealthy, out-of-touch millionaire is their most effective line of attack. Second, it’s becoming clear that the attacks are doing more to buy the Obama campaign time than seriously change the trajectory of the race.

For all the attention paid to the effectiveness of President Obama’s Bain-themed attacks, it’s remarkable how Obama has been stuck right around 47 percent for a very long time. As the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza documented, the president’s team has handily outspent Romney and his allied super PACs, pouring in $91 million into eight swing states in an early spending barrage intended to make Romney seem an unacceptable challenger. But for all that effort, the numbers haven’t moved much at all: The latest ABC News/Washington Post poll out today shows the race deadlocked at 47 percent. Yesterday’s USA Today/Gallup swing state poll showed Obama statistically tied with Romney, the exact same result the survey showed one month ago.”

http://decoded.nationaljournal.com/2012/07/despite-bain-attacks-obama-sti.php

Obama is 14 points behind Romney with independents and one talking head said it was because of Obama’s negative ads. Who knows? For all Obama’s money raising charm, Romney is beating him for the cash. While Obama has shot his wad on springtime and summer negative ads; Romney will begin his ads very soon with unlimited cash. And depending on his choice for VP, this could be even bigger than Carter’s loss to Reagan.

Frank,
ABC/WAPO is a reputable national poll, and it shows a tie. Another major national poll, Reuters/Ipsos, shows Obama with a six point lead.

The Gallup swing state poll does NOT show the result the author of the National Journal author suggests. It shows Obama with a two point lead. Furthermore, Obama is far enough ahead in a couple of those states swing states that he will win the electoral college with ease. Here are the swing states, according to Gallup:

Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin

By the way- for anyone who likes following this kind of thing, here is a link to an excellent site that tabulates polls and assigns electoral college outcomes. They do a really nice job:

http://electoral-vote.com/

Hover the mouse over any state on the home page, and it will give a nice short synopsis. By the way, the latest shows Romney up a point in NC & FL, and Obama up 8 in VA.

According to the analysis done on the effect of the Bain ads, Democrats show it’s very effective. I won’t burden anyone with links to liberal sites, but I will point out that it’s certain to continue because the Democrats believe the data shows those ads are working.

Yep, even though they have been found by every independent review to be lies, they will continue because they work. The politics of personal destruction are alive and well with this White House, the progressives and the conservatives in this country…

The President of FYROM was ordered by the European Union and America to cancel the South East European Cooperation Process in order to cover up the Real Reason that the European Union and America wanted Kosovo to attend.

We know that Kosovo could not attend as a State, because everyone knows that the Ambitions of Albanians and much of the European Union and America is to have a Greater Albania, which can Only be built by Genocide, because that Totally Worthless Idiot Adolf Hitler would have wanted it this way.

The European Union and NATO needs Germany, and so they wish to appease the Hero of the German People who is Adolf Hitler, but they England and America who would loved Genocidal Hitler, if Only he would have been Nazi England’s and Nazi America’s Puppet Mass Murderer.

This is why NATO had to build a Monument to Hitler, which was the break up of Yugoslavia, but it will not be Complete Until there is an Independent Mono Ethnic Kosovo, which will be needed to create a Mono Ethnic Greater Albania to Hitler’s Praise and Glory.
