Obama versus Clinton versus Plutocracy

Here comes another inconvenient truth. Despite all the attention to Oprah for Obama and the pundit blabbering about the Democratic primary horse race the outcome has been predetermined. What people do not want to know is that power elites control what the Democratic ticket will be. When the primaries end the winner will be the reigning plutocracy.

Rich and powerful elites want Hillary Clinton in the White House if the Democrats get their turn in the rigged two-party system. Just one big problem: The establishment plutocracy wants her more than most Americans trust or like her. No matter how much she spends and no matter how many big name endorsements she gets, her phoniness and arrogance prevail. She would be America’s irritating Panderer-in-Chief. What to do?

For power elites the answer is crystal clear. Obama is too young and inexperienced and less trustworthy for the elites, meaning he is less corrupted by big money than Hillary. But he is perfect to offset Hillary’s negatives. A majority of voters can succumb to months of slick advertising promoting the first woman president and first black vice-president and future president. And eight years as vice president will train Obama to be an obedient Washington insider.

Though Republicans will still mount a vicious attack on Clinton, Obama will moderate those efforts. Hillary can be the annoying bad cop that people fear and hate, while he is the good guy that people like and believe. And make no mistake: what friction exists between the two will be quickly replaced by their ambition. Obama will tell his supporters (and Oprah hers) to back the compromise ticket and he will negotiate a sweet deal to gain big influence as vice president like Cheney has had. Then we can all prey (delude ourselves) that he might curb Clinton’s tendencies to use military force rather than diplomacy, and create more terrible trade agreements and wasteful federal programs. Obama might even fight the assault on the middle class and rising economic inequality. Might.

U.S. News & World Report’s Paul Bedard made these points in 2006 about a Clinton-Obama ticket: “Some Republican advisers to the White House and leading 2008 hopefuls Sen. John McCain and Rudy Giuliani see the ticket as an easy winner built on the enthusiasm it would generate in Democratic circles. Their theory is that Clinton would stand a good chance to pick up the states that Sen. John Kerry won in 2004. While not enough to win the election on her own, the addition of Obama would help push closely divided states like Ohio over into the Democratic column, thereby giving the Clinton-Obama ticket the White House. …Obama could help soften Clinton's image and bring more African-American voters to the ticket as well as independents seeking real and symbolic change.” Exactly.

In April 2007 The New York Times political blog raised the same possibility and there were hundreds of wide-ranging comments. Though many expressed negativity about Clinton, many others showed enthusiasm for a Clinton-Obama ticket, as shown by the following five comments:

Clinton/Obama would be an unbeatable ticket. She has the experience as both a senator and she knows the foreign nations as her work as First Lady, remember Bill’s campaign slogan “Two for the price of one.” with Bill back in the White House, her as Pres, could surely let Obama earn his stripes and after 8 years will become what could be America’s first black president.

I too would love to see a Hillary-Obama ticket. I believe Obama would settle for a VP position because he is young, has served only 2 years as a US senator, and has a long career ahead of him.

If the Dems are smart, and I hope they are, the ticket will be Clinton-Obama and it will be unbeatable in 2008 and again in 2012. Then in 2016 and 20020 Obama will be top dog on the ticket thus providing sixteen years of a Democratic presidency.

Hey, Clinton/Obama is pretty powerful sounding! I’m all for it! You folks who have been programmed to hate Hillary need to get over it already. She is one smart woman who has more than enough experience in the white house and she will make one hell of a prez! Obama will learn a lot from president Clinton and will be ready to lead our great nation in 2016 or 17!

Obama and Hillary on the same ticket would be terrific. With these 2 candidates the country could become a democratic society for 16 years!

In sum, whenever you hear more chatter about the tight Democratic primary race take a breath. Get back in touch with your cynicism. Talk about change is for campaigns; protecting the status quo is for winners. Plutocrats know who they want and what voters can be conned into voting for. Despite primaries the ultimate outcome has already been determined by the faceless fat-cat plutocrats running and ruining our nation. Think Big Oil, Big Insurance, Big Pharma, Big Business, Big Law and Lobbying Firms, and Big Wall Street Money. They can pump in the money and endorsements to make Clinton the winner and the corporate mainstream media will assist.

Note that rigged-election-master Fidel Castro called the Clinton-Obama ticket “invincible.” And, as to a winning Clinton-Obama ticket, smarmy Fox News analyst Dick Morris said “I'm leaving the country if this happens." Hopefully more Fox News liars and idiots would do likewise. Does that possibility justify voting for that first-ever ticket? No. The better moral and patriotic decision is to not participate in the two-party criminal conspiracy we call our political system and not vote for any Democrat or Republican for federal office. Those supporting Clinton’s rivals eventually will see this truth.

Not happening… not a chance. There is no way Hillary would let Obama on her ticket… it will simply not happen. For the following reasons…

1. When was the last time two sitting Senators won a presidential election? Americans want executive leadership from their presidents… and if not the prez, then at least the veep.

2. New York and Illinois are both solidly Democrat. With the possible exception of Ohio, not a single state would be won by the addition of Obama on a Clinton ticket. No… Hillary will fish for swing votes out here in the west.

3. I am the first to admit that we Americans have a pretty short memory when it comes to things like this; however, there is just too much bad blood between Obama and Clinton for them to work together. I think they genuinely do not like each other.

4. Obama is too much of a rock star, and Hillary doesn’t want to share the limelight, especially if the perceived gains wouldn’t be enough, by themselves, to secure the presidency. Hillary doesn’t want a Veep that is more popular than her.

No way that ticket happens… but here is what will happen… Hillary will get the nomination and choose someone from west of the Mississippi as her running mate. Anyone notice the sudden lack of Clinton-bashing coming from the Richardson camp?

I’m just sayin’…

When all of your choices stink, and there are no other choices on the ballot, I agree.

I might not particularly like it, but Oprah has clout. Can swing some ladies to Obama’s side. And have you heard her speech? I have heard sound bites from two speeches, she has her stuff together. I found myself nodding along. Again, I might not like it, but name one modern TV personality that transends age? I can’t. Oprah is the only TV celebrity that my teenagers know, I know, and my parents know … I suspect my Sicilian great-grandmother knows her too.

I don’t trust Obama any more than I do Hillary. While he might not be as experienced at it as Hillary he’s already a DC insider not to be believed or trusted.
He’ll slick talk the voters into believing they can trust him to keep an eye on Hillary, but in fact he’ll work with her to do the bidding of the big money that put him in office.

  • Barack Obama’s Immigration Report Card: D- (pathetic)

  • Give people the choice to buy affordable health care. (Jun 2007) {A choice? What choice? Government meddling, greedy insurance companies (unnecessary middlemen), and obscene gouging by greedy hospitals, free medical coverage, and welfare for 32% of illegal aliens is part of what is driving up costs. Not to mention that 27% of all incarcerated in Federal prisons are illegal aliens (source: Page 2 GAO-05-337R)}

  • Address minority health needs by more coverage & targeting. (Mar 2007) {Based on race?}

  • Health care tied to balancing costs and taxes nation wide. (Jun 2006) {Nevermind that Congress gives itself a raise 9 of the last 10 years for the fine job they are doing, have excellent healthcare, and cu$hy pension systems. Hypocrites.}

  • Believes health care is a right, not a privilege for the few. (Sep 2004) {That’s debatable, since someone has to pay for it. Who? With a $9.2 Trillion National Debt? With $12.8 Trillion borrowed and spent from Social Security with a 77 million baby boomer bubble approaching? With a $450 Billion debt in the PBGC pension system? With hundreds of billions in unfunded liabiliites for Medicare? For a war in Afghanistan? And an unnecessary war based on lies and exaggerations in Iraq? With a REGRESSIVE tax system? etc., etc., etc.?}

  • No need to mandate coverage; just let people afford it. (Jul 2007) {Sure. It’s magic! Don’t pay any attention to the massive debt and greedy insurance companies behind the corporate-welfare and pandering curtain.}

  • Voted YES on reauthorizing the PATRIOT Act. (Mar 2006) {Interesting. }

  • Barack says comprehensive immigration solution includes employers & borders. (Nov 2007) {Really? The borders are near wide-open. Yet Obama is concerned that only 3% of cargo coming into our ports is not inspected?}

  • Undocumented workers come here to work, not to drive. (Nov 2007) {Really? Then why are they? Have you looked at the statistics of illegal aliens arrested for drunk driving and homicide via drunk driving? Visit VOIAC.ORG to see a small sample of the thousands of Americans killed annually by drunk driving illegal aliens.}

  • Yet, Barack Obama supports granting driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. (Nov 2007) {Nothing like pitting American citizens and illegal aliens against each other for votes and profits, eh? Besides, most Americans will reward Congress with 95% to 99% re-election rates anyway. Schmucks!}

  • Voted YES on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security. (May 2006) {Wonderful. Especially with the 77 million baby boomer bubble approaching and $12.8 Trillion borrowed and spent from the Social Security system. But, it buys votes, and the voters will reward us for all of it anyway with 95% to 99% re-election rates.}

  • The wealthy should pay a bit more on the payroll tax. (Oct 2007) {A bit more? Warren Buffet’s income tax rate on $46 Million is 17.7% but the income tax rate on his secretary making $60,000 is 30% ? The tax curve is regressive due to a myriad of tax loop-holes for the wealthy. Just ask Warren Buffet, the 2nd wealthiest person in the U.S.}

Hillary Clinton’s Voting Record/Statements/Positions:

  • 2006 PorkBusters Hall of Shame:
    • Robert Byrd (D-WV) (lifetime pork-barrel achiever)
    • Hillary Clinton (D-NY)
    • Tammy Baldwin (D-WI)
    • Ted Stevens (R-AK)

  • January 2006 Porker of the Month: Sens. Hillary Clinton and Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.)

  • February 2005 Porker of the Month: New York Sens. Hillary Clinton (D)& Charles Schumer (D) {bringin’ home the pork, bringin’ home the pork, we’re all…}

  • Provided by tax-payers: Hillary Clinton’s $514,148 per year lease (2001) with the most expensive hometown office of any U.S. senator.

  • Voted NO on $40B in reduced federal overall spending. (Dec 2005)

  • Voted NO on require photo ID (not just signature) for voter registration. (Feb 2002)

  • Voted YES on building a fence along the Mexican border. (Sep 2006) {This isn’t the norm for a Democrat politician; could it be Hillary was following the poll numbers?}

  • Opposes illegal immigration, but doesn’t vote to follow up. (Jan 2007) {see previous; seems so}

  • Hillary Clinton’s Immigration Report Card: D- (pathetic)
  • Voted YES on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security. (May 2006) {just as soon as we get another amnesty passed like the one in 1986 that quadrupled the problem}

  • In January 1996, a long sought-after copy of billing records from the Rose Law Firm were identified and turned over to prosecutors by Carolyn Huber, a White House assistant to Hillary Rodham Clinton. Ms. Huber, herself a former Rose Law Firm employee, recognized the records and realized that they had been among papers that she had removed six months earlier from the First Lady’s book room on the third floor of the White House. The mysterious appearance of the billing records, which had been the specific subject of various investigative subpoenas for two years, sparked intense interest about how they surfaced and where they had been. Shortly after the discovery of the records, Hillary Clinton made history — she became the only First Lady ever called to testify before a Grand Jury inquiry.

  • Voted for Iraq war (Apr 2007) {Hmmm … I see a “If I knew now what I was supposed to know then” moment coming on}

  • Voted NO on criminal penalty for harming unborn fetus during other crime. (Mar 2004) {OK, pro-choice doesn’t mean pro-abortion, but what’s up with this?}

  • Critic of Iraq war, but did not recant 2002 vote in its favor. (Nov 2006)

  • Voted YES on authorizing use of military force against Iraq. (Oct 2002)

  • Regrets George Bush (43)’s handling of war, but not her own vote to allow it. (Oct 2006) {there’s nothing hypocritical about that, eh?}

  • Voted YES on $86 billion for military operations in Iraq & Afghanistan. (Oct 2003)

  • states: NY share of federal taxes is too high. (Feb 2000) {What does she want? A lower tax percentage for New York residents? Could this be pandering for votes?}

  • Voted YES on extending the tax cuts on capital gains and dividends. (Nov 2005) {this is partly why our tax system is now REGRESSIVE}

  • Voted YES on retaining reduced taxes on capital gains & dividends. (Feb 2006) {yet, she did it again! this is partly why Warren Buffet (2nd wealthiest person in the U.S.) can pay a smaller tax rate than a secretary making only $60K per year; our current tax system is REGRESSIVE among other REGRESSIVE systems that didn’t all come about by accident}

  • Voted NO on paying down federal debt by rating programs’ effectiveness. (Mar 2007) {Heck no, we can’t have any of that. That might make it harder to vote on pork-barrel, corporate welfare, graft, etc.}

  • Rated 21% by NTU, indicating a “Big Spender” on tax votes. (Dec 2003)

  • states: Enough with corporate welfare; enough with golden parachutes. (Jun 2007) {Yeah? with a Pork-Barrel Report Card Grade of 14%, and two porker of the month awards?}

  • And lastly, this is kinda funny
  • . From the smile on Hillary’s face, she does too!

It’s going to be an interesting election and after it’s over, the voters will have the government they elected, and deserve.
