Post-debate panels: Soft issues more prominent in post-debate discussion
The candidates’ appearance during the debate as well as their personalities were of much greater prominence in the discussions following the debate than in the debate itself.

The single most important issue of the debate were the contenders’ stances on foreign policy. In addition, their positions on how to fight terrorism played a great role.
The post-debate discussion also centered on foreign policy. However, the candidates’ appearance during the debate as well as their personalities were of much greater prominence in the discussions following the debate than in the debate itself.

Posted by Isadora Badi at October 5, 2004 06:33 PMI thought that debate was far more substantive than the previous one. I was disappointed at how quickly the post debate spin reverted to “grumpy, angry” Cheney vs. “slick trial lawyer” Edwards.
