Jared & Ivanka - You Don't Dance With Family

The Democrats in Congress are unleashing their powers of oversight to engage in a relentless pursuit of President Trump, and anyone connected with his corporate world as well. Who might be some of the more prominent figures who are soon forced to testify before Congress in what will be a series of hearings that come uncomfortably close at times to show trials? If you do a Venn Diagram of The Hill’s Morning Report and the Washington Post’s Daily 202 this Friday, what two names appear in both articles?

Who else? Ivanka and Jared Kushner.

And the Daily 202's James Hohmann - who has resigned himself to being the de facto Democrat spokesperson on these issues since having been lambasted by party activists about a year ago for suggesting that if the economy improves Trump's ratings may go up - takes up the task with workmanlike glee. You get the feeling he might even skip a few spring practices of his favorite team to make sure he gets all the dirt, though perhaps we shouldn't go that far.

The problem is, he has a point. President Trump's insistence on giving both Ivanka but especially Jared key positions within his administration has not been helpful to say the least. Especially when the opposition is dying to show how Trump's loyalty is only to his own brand and therefore they are justified in suggesting absurd courses of action like invoking the emoluments clause over Trump's DC Hotel. Of course, it would have been much cleaner for Trump to have put every frickin' dime of his in a blind trust to be turned back to him the minute he descends from Air Force One for the last time. But he didn't, and the mid-terms went against him as they often do for first-term presidents, so here we are.

The Trump Organization is a sticky issue for him precisely because it is a family organization in which Donald Jr. and Eric Trump also play roles. Donald Jr. is trustee and Executive VP and Eric is Executive VP of Development and Acquisitions, a role Ivanka also played before her Fashion ventures and her current role as adviser to the President.

Hohmann in his Daily 202 focuses on memos that reportedly document concern with President Trump's request that Jared be granted top or near top security clearance. This has nothing to do with Russia, of course, but it is yet another attempt to paint the President as head of a family business that somehow resembles if not a mafia outfit then at least a corrupt outfit with the scheming patriarch at the head.

In other words, the Democrats have traded in Ronin for Dallas/Dynasty/Your favorite Telemundo soap. And they will play every angle to try and make it stick.

After Kushner ... and his wife, Ivanka Trump, pressured the president to grant Kushner the long-delayed clearance, Trump instructed Kelly to fix the problem, according to a person familiar with Kelly's account, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe internal discussions. Kelly told colleagues that the decision to give Kushner top-secret clearance was not supported by career intelligence officials, ... according to two people familiar with the memo and the then-chief of staff's concerns." - James Hohnmann

News flash. Career intelligence officials invested in a nation-building America-everywhere ideology don't support President Trump period. So giving them this Jared morsel to chew on and spit back at a compliant media is like cotton candy for a kid at the fair. And President Trump should not be surprised this will keep coming up. Yes, you dance with the ones that brung you to the ball and helped you win the election, but you don't dance with family. Unless you're Hillary and Bill.

Of course, this has nothing to do with collusion and merely shows that what counts is the goal of debilitating, or ending if possible, President Trump's presidency. But it will make compelling political theatre for enough people to do some (how much is another question) damage over the coming weeks and months.

We can hope that all these investigations by Democrats will distract them from keeping campaign promises of needed legislation. The political theater is interesting if one does not take them seriously.

The Democrats posturing and ranting in front of their various committee room cameras will provide the video snips included in Republican campaign commercials as we near the 2020 elections. Americans will observe a Democrat congress interesting only in hate and punishment.

President Trump will continue to lead the nation to ever greater job and wealth production. Most national elections are about “guns and butter”. Trump is providing plenty of “butter” for everyone. The Hispanic, Black, and female Republican constituency is growing.

Okay, I’ll play along with the author’s game:

Wendi Deng Murdoch is a Chinese-born, entrepreneur, investor, movie producer and collector of Chinese contemporary art. She was the third wife of News Corporation chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch. In 1988, she left medical school and went to the United States on a study permit. She obtained a BA in Economics from California State University at Northridge and an MBA from the Yale University. Upon graduation from Yale, Deng met Bruce Churchill, who oversaw finance and corporate development at the Fox TV branch in Los Angeles. He offered Deng an internship at News Corp. Within one year she became a vice president. In 1997, she met Rupert Murdoch, who is 37 years her senior, while working as an executive at the Murdoch-owned Star TV in Hong Kong. They married in 1999 on board his yacht “Morning Glory”, less than three weeks after the finalization of his divorce from his second wife…She led the Murdoch family’s Chinese internet investments and helped form business links with China for high-speed video and internet access.

In early 2018, The Wall Street Journal, a newspaper owned by Murdoch’s News Corp, published a story suggesting that Jared Kushner and Ivanka Tr-mp, close acquaintances of Deng, were warned by US intelligence agencies that Deng may be working as a Chinese spy. (wiki)

That brings us to yesterday, when it was revealed that Rupert Murdoch probably got that classified information from the scum, the POS, the fool, the traitor, the moronidiotimbecile, the deplorable, private bonespurs, cantaloupe Caligula, the 70-Year-Old Toddler, Adolf Twitler, Benedict Donald, Bratman, Chickenhawk, Darth taxeVader, Donald the Deadbeat, Failed Mail-Order Meat Salesman, Financially Embattled Thousandaire, Immigrant-Bashing Carnival Barker, Lord Dampnut (anagram), Narcissistic Human Airhorn, Screaming Carrot Demon, Short-fingered vulgarian, Sniffles, The Predictable Endpoint of Republicanism, The uniquely underqualified and overblown king of bragging and whining, World’s Greatest Troll.

So what is the author doing? Trying to get the reich wingers to make fools of themselves defending security clearances for the grifters? Writing some nonsense that is easily countered by people who are aware of the actual news?

I forgot to mention that rumour has it that Trmps IQ was once calibrated to be as high as 92, but I don’t believe that.

You also forgot to mention all the classified information found on Ivanka’s computers.
Darn reptilian Trumps!

The American people want the swamp cleaned out. Trump told the American people he would drain the swamp and was supposed to do just that.Instead he filled the swamp.

Nepotism is corruption and it is what dictators do. Bill Clinton didn’t hire their kid for good reason. Having family members traveling the world conducting their own affairs while using government transportation and security is corruption. I won’t even mention emails on a private server.

One of the job’s Congress has is to perform oversight on the administrative branch of government. The obvious nepotism should have been corrected when the repubs held the reins in the HoR. Of course they turned a blind eye the corruption.

Now they complain and accuse the Dems of…well…of…oversight! But is it just a witch hunt? I don’t think so. Take a look at any of the repub led investigations, say Benghazi, it was for political purposes according to staff they was fired for telling the truth. It wasn’t about such a clear case of corruption as we have today.

OK j2t2…I challenge you to provide facts; can you do it?

“a clear case of corruption”

This should be no problem as you write it is “clear”.

“The American people want the swamp cleaned out.”

Do you deny that those fired at the FBI were swamp creatures?

“Bill Clinton didn’t hire their kid for good reason.”

I heard about the nepotism charge and I had to laugh. When the truth comes out about ingrained nepotism in politics the Democratics and Republicans are going to have egg on their faces.

We’ve also just witnessed one of the most severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that I have ever seen here on WatchBlog. He suffers so much ohrealy can’t even get himself to spell the guy’s name! I actually started to listen to what ohrealy had to say until it just fizzled out into a spittle-flying tirade of name calling. I’ll have to chalk that comment up to attention span.

Author, he couldn’t put his assets in a blind trust because he has no assets, only debts. The question that needed to be answered before he ever got the nomination of a national political party, is who are the creditors. We know about Deutsche Bank, especially here, but they don’t print their own money. It came through the wealth management division after he couldn’t repay what he already owed them. This brings in Justin Kennedy, global real estate lender, son of “supreme” Anthony Kennedy, grandson of a lobbyist, and his convenient resignation to put the son of another lobbyist on the SCOTUS. Oddly, Kennedy’s mother and Trmp’s mother had the same last name, McLeod, not exactly a common one.

Perhaps AOC’s and Rashida Tlaib’s alleged FEC violations, Ilhan Omar’s alleged immigration fraud, and the following corruption should also be investigated too?

For god sakes d.a.n! Kennedy’s mother and Trump’s mother had the same last name!!!!!
If that’s not a good reason to go out searching for a crime, I don’t know what is.

D., are you really suggesting that POS list of supposed crimes by Dems hasn’t been investigated? You seem to be suggesting the repubs of the previous session of Congress failed to do their jobs. I guess it could be your supposed list is bogus and not worthy of investigation at least according to the repubs. What does that say about your constant repeating of the Big Lie?

Yes, that’s correct.
All of this corruption should be investigated, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

And AOC’s and Rashida Tlaib’s alleged FEC violations, and Ilhan Omar’s alleged immigration fraud should be investigated (not to mention their bigotry and antisemitic comments).

All of this should be investigated too.

U.S. federal officials convicted of corruption offenses: 60% are Democrats.

Voter fraud convictions: 81% are Democrats (Voter Fraud database [1979 to 2018]).

And then, there’s all of this (today, and in the past):

  • (1) sought to continue slavery (source: www.britannica.com/topic/Democratic-Party);
  • (2) created the KKK (source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan);
  • (3) created Jim Crow laws (source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Crow_laws);
  • (4) and imposed racial segregation (source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Democrats).
… and today, not much has changed, because the Democrats are now:
  • (01) despicably pitting U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants against each other for votes, by pandering to illegal immigrants for 30+ years, for more votes (via more representation in the House, via more U.S. House representatives, via apportionment of representatives (and more electoral votes, and more federal funding), based on population, based on the decennial CENSUS, which does NOT verify U.S. citizenship);
  • (02) fighting against a [x]citizenship check-box on decennial CENSUS;
  • (03) lying about level of crime by illegal immigrants, and refuse to report 2,000 homicides per year by criminal non-citizens (source: DHS, GAO, cis.org, site2data.com/homicides1.html);
  • (04) lying about the co$t of massive illegal immigration (about $300 Billion per year in net losses; sources: www.washingtontimes.com ; www.youtube.com/watch?v=msGVs4lFDw4 );
  • (05) calling for open borders;
  • (06) calling for the abolishment of I.C.E.;
  • (07) calling for another amnesty, like the shamnesty of 1986, which quintupled the severity of the problem;
  • (08) refusing requirement for employers to use eVerify;
  • (09) giving illegal immigrants drivers’ licenses, and also automatically register them to vote at the same time; and then Democrats ignore many tens of thousands of instances of voter fraud by illegal immigrants (source: site2data.com/voting1.html);
  • (10) wanting more mayors like Libby Schaaf, who warns illegal immigrants before an ICE raid to arrest criminal illegal immigrants;
  • (11) wanting more sanctuary cities and states, where Democrats (and A.G. Xavier Becerra) passed sanctuary city and state laws that protect criminal non-citizens (e.g. an illegal immigrant, Garcia Zarate (already deported 5 times) can shoot and murder Kate Steinle, and be acquitted for that murder);
  • (12) calling to abolish or restrict 2nd Amendment rights, and say it is worth it “even if it saves only ONE life”, but conveniently ignore 2,000 homicides per year by criminal non-citizens (source: site2data.com/homicides1.html);

Many thanks to j2t2, phx8, and Ed O’hrealy who are doing a great job at winning voters over to their nasty, racist, hateful way of thinking.

See? There is no need to resort to nasty, racist, hateful comments (such as j2t2’s, open-borders phx8’s, and nutty Ed O’hrealy’s numerous comments over several years since 2006 or earlier).
That, and the facts above are sufficient.
Feel free anytime to disprove any of that (please - provide proof; not the usual worthless opinion pieces from other hateful extremists and similar ilk).
Again, many thanks to j2t2, phx8, and Ed O’hrealy who are doing a great job for THEIR party and winning over people to their nasty, racist, hateful way of thinking. Keep up the good work!”>facts above are sufficient.
