Will Andrew McCabe Be Indicted?

Or does the DOJ and FBI take care of its own, even its disgraced, former, fired, out-to-protect-their-own-reputation, and likely mendacious own? It’s hard to answer that question accurately right now for a number of reasons, one of the main ones being it is very hard to tell when McCabe is actually telling the truth.

Did he leak to the New York Times? When pushed by The View's Meghan McCain, who told him to his face he was unreliable and could not be trusted and asked whether he had ever leaked to the NYT, he said, "Absolutely not. Not at any time ever."

When asked by Meghan McCain whether Trump actually fired Director Comey based on Russian orders he replied, "We don't know."

When asked by CNN's Anderson Cooper, "Are there other things that haven't been made public at this point that contributed to the opening of the investigation of the president?"

McCabe answered, "I'm not so sure that there are things that haven't been made public."

How the hell do you parse the statements of someone like this? Someone who according to the DOJ Inspector General, was deemed guilty of lying? Because look at these 3 statements listed above:

• The first statement: The IG lied not me is what McCabe is saying here, and one has to hope he full-well knows it's a ridiculous lie that may come back to haunt him in court.
• The second statement: This is so outlandish given the complete lack of actual collusion evidence. Putin lifting up a phone and saying to Trump: Okyay, naw gu forrr Comey! Because ...
• The third statement: Why would McCabe lie about the fact that there's no there there that Mueller's probe will unveil that makes us say: ahhhh that's why they done it!! In other words, why admit the FBI just didn't like Trump's way of doing things and how he refused to condemn Putin (something that bugs a lot of us as a matter of fact) so let's open another probe on him?

But you're dealing with either a strategically-minded serpent who will slither any way he can to save his skin or you're dealing with a pathological liar who no longer really knows when to stop. Which one is McCabe if you had to choose? How do you accept anything from him as reasonably true?

How do you accept anything from the Steele Dossier as reasonably true, given its reliance on 2nd, 3rd and even 4th hand evidence funneled through Russian intelligence avenues?

How do you accept former CIA Head Brennan and former DNI Clapper's statements when both have clearly lied to the public in the past?

As I've claimed at various points in the past, the Mueller probe and any other ongoing Russia probes will not have clear-cut and satisfying resolutions when they come out, which may be soon. It will leave America just as or perhaps more divided than before.

I hope I'm wrong, especially on that last point, but with Congress now apparently launching a probe into possible Trump-Saudi ties on possible nuclear-energy investments in the Kingdom, with poor Mike Flynn being thrown back into the mix, it's clear that House Democrats and perhaps more than a few senators have already written off the Mueller probes and are readying their own probes.

Any probe will do. As long as it interferes, damages, and hopefully keeps President Trump from being re-elected in 2020.

They failed to keep him from being nominated in 2016. They failed to sink his presidential campaign. They failed to screw with the Electoral College. They failed to invoke the 25th amendment. The Logan Act. The emoluments clause. They. Failed. Every. Step. Of. The. Way.

And they still won't stop. But at some point, like a crazed grief-stricken medic pumping away on a victim's lifeless heart, you hope that someone will finally drag them off the zombie corpse of the various probes and get them into therapy.

Or jail.

Lock them up!

How many times have conservatives presented different versions of the same story? Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Ohr, virtually everyone at the FBI & DOJ involved in Russian counterintelligence and Russian mob cases has been attacked and/or fired. Yet somehow the accusations, whether they are leveled against the DOJ, FBI, Hillary Clinton, Obama, whatever- somehow they never go anywhere. No indictments. No trials. No convictions.

Charlie Brown takes a running start to kick the football, and Lucy pulls it away every single time.

At the beginning of the Trump administration I advocated Trump use a Independent Select Committee to put this behind him. That is what an innocent person would have done. The whole thing could have been tied up in 6 months. Instead, Trump has sought to delay at every opportunity, make wild accusations, refuse to do a sit-down interview with Mueller for months and months, and so on.

We went from the Trump administration claiming they had NO contacts with the Russians. Today we know there were over 100 contacts by more than a dozen in the Trump administration. There were repeated efforts to establish back channels. Trump looked for opportunities to meet with Putin without any other American present. The day after firing Comey he meet with the Russian Ambassador and Foreign Minister. In the Oval Office.

So not only were there lots of contacts and meetings with Russians when there should have been NONE, but Trump and his people lied about the contacts and meetings time and time. Why lie?

Cohen testifies next week.

The SCO may wrap up soon. We will see. Will Barr stop the SCO in its tracks and bury the investigation? Or will Mueller finish with a Finale Rack? When firework displays come to the end, the people in charge let everyone think for a moment that it is over, and then launch a whole bunch of fireworks at once. That is the Grand Finale. That is the Finale Rack.

The author is upside down. He shouldn’t stand on his head that much. Maybe he thinks he’s in Australia.

McCabe should be given the Congressional Medal of Honour and ultimately the Presidential Medal of Freedom, when we get a president. Same for Strzok, American Hero, standing up to the traitor, and his “crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and creativity is still the best guaranty of their loyalty”. They should both sue the POS when he goes down, as quickly as possible, because the SDNY is going to get everything he “owns”(more like owes). I’m betting Nicola Sturgeon will confiscate Turnberry for her country.

The Smollett case got pretty hilarious today, with helicopters circling over the jail, and following him in a slow speed chase after he made bail.

I hope you’re right about something, phx8. I’m starting to feel sorry for you.

So why does this story even appear in the media? Is there an idea behind it?

There is an idea behind this. The idea is that when rich people with histories of making themselves rich, they should be laughed at. People in a historical position of greatness, because of their wealth or intelligence or whiteness or maleness, should not be believed when victimized by people in political and media’s superior positions. When a conservative calls for greatness- when such a conservative calls for justice- the idea is that such a call should be ignored, or better yet, pointed at and jeered.

Are there such things as false reports of collusion and money laundering? Yes. Somewhere between 2-100% of reported stories about white males are false charges. That means somewhere between 0-98% are false. So we should approach such charges with caution; and the idea that they should be considered, or taken seriously, because demands from those who are laughing at equal protection under the law are “antics,” and reflect on those who are laughing.

It is difficult to give our Liberal Pal phx8 credit for much in his comments. However, his persistence at spreading the big lie is admirable if one is into crediting endless and hopeless dreaming of a Trump/Russia campaign connection.

“Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Ohr, virtually everyone at the FBI & DOJ involved in Russian counterintelligence and Russian mob cases has been attacked and/or fired.”

OH, Please phx8, tell us why they should not have been fired. Your apparent admiration for this nest of criminality is astounding. Never, in the annals of American history, have we seen such outright disdain for our election procedures and results. These weasels hid behind their exalted offices and attempted to nullify the will of the American voter.

Why? Because they didn’t like the results of the election. A firing squad is appropriate for these would-be usurpers of our Democratic Republic.

WW,
You write: “The idea is that when rich people with histories of making themselves rich, they should be laughed at.”

I don’t know about other very rich people, but Trump had trouble written all over him, right from the beginning.

He claimed he started with only a few million and turned it into billions. That is false. A few decades ago he inherited over $400 million in today’s dollars. He lost that money in 2008. Although no American bank would touch him, Trump made the money back. How? No one knows.

Trump likes to brag about his wealth, but he can not explain how he made it, and he will not release his taxes.

Does Trump call for greatness? Or justice? Because if I recall, he ran his 2012 campaign on the platform of Birtherism, a fundamentally racist conspiracy theory.

RF,
Why would the upper echelons of DOJ and FBI counterintelligence- almost all Republicans- not like Trump? What do they see that causes “outright disdain for our election procedures and results”?

The Russians attacked us in 2016. They launched a massive, multi-pronged cyber attack on the election, and they succeeded in putting their preferred candidate in office. The Russians did their very best to nullify the will of American voters.

How much will we find out next week? It is hard to tell. The new AG could block the whole thing. He could order all references to Trump removed. The report could merely outline what happened without recommending any legal actions. Then again, it could be dynamite.

Meanwhile, other separate investigations will continue, including the SDNY, the DOJ investigation into Maria Butina and Russian penetration of the NRA, the investigation into the Trump inauguration committee and all that missing money, and more, including House Democratic Committees looking into financial fraud.

But I am sure of this: Cohen will be devastating next week.

Attacked; launched; massive; cyber attack; preferred candidate; nullify.
Very serious words that people just don’t appreciate, perhaps some “fast facts” will help?

https://www.cnn.com/2016/12/26/us/2016-presidential-campaign-hacking-fast-facts/index.html

DNC incompetence.
Clinton campaign incompetence.
Hackers publish a batch of Clinton emails.
Hackers post internal DNC memos and opposition research on Trump.
The hacks “mirror the methods and motivations of past Russian-directed cyberattacks.”
President Obama asks intelligence agencies to review the hacking incidents in 2016 and other cyberattacks on political campaigns dating back to 2008.
Hackers did not breach voting machines or computers that tallied election results.
Facebook announces that more than 3,000 advertisements posted on the social network between June 2015 and May 2017 were linked to Russia.

There is a history of these cyber attacks going back to at least 2008.
Actual vote tallies were not affected.

Basically, the will of American voters was attacked with hacked emails not meant to be made public and advertisements. The effect this actually had on voter decisions is impossible to determine, which why we get such dramatic statements like: “The Russians attacked us in 2016. They launched a massive, multi-pronged cyber attack on the election, and they succeeded in putting their preferred candidate in office. The Russians did their very best to nullify the will of American voters.”

I wonder how long this has been going on! kctim points out that the alleged behavior has been traced back to 2008. Isn’t that when Obama first ran for office? Could it be that Obama and the Democratics have been doing this and blaming Russians since 2008, or before? Were there more scapegoats in the Democratic party’s past?

We all know the lie is a staple of the Democratic party. We’ve seen them destroy people in the media over and over. It takes years for the truth to come out, and when it does it gets minimal attention.

Putin laughs in Megan Kelly’s face when she asks him about this issue. What did he say? He said maybe there’s a pill for what she’s suffering from. He not only laughed at her, her audience laughed at her also!

We’ve seen the left perpetrate hoaxes for years. Over and over they destroy people who oppose them with fake news and unsubstantiated charges that take years to verify, if ever.

I don’t know why the Democratic party is still taken seriously. I don’t know why they don’t go the way of Hearst’s The Independence League.

Right. Most of the time, phx8, like j2t2 and Ed O’hrealy, just make up stuff, and habitually violate all the rules of logic and common-sense, resort to all sorts of obfuscation and circular gobbledygook, and never admit when they are wrong (which would be, however, 95% of the time).
Weary Willie wrote: I don’t know why the Democratic party is still taken seriously.
Today, there are too many people that want free stuff, and a nanny state to take care of them from cradle-to-grave.

Hopefully, there are still enough voters in the U.S. that still get it, but the last election was very close, and Hillary Clinton got the popular vote, which is disturbing.

However, today, the Democrats, socialist/leftist extremists, and similar ilk have sunk so low (again), that the Democrats may be sowing the seeds of their own destruction.

Today, in desperation the Democrats desperation to acquire more power, many Democrats are despicably pitting U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants against each other for more votes, money, and power (via decennial census, for more funding and electoral votes).
Democrats have not sunk so low since the Democrats :

  • (1) sought to continue slavery (source: www.britannica.com/topic/Democratic-Party);
  • (2) created the KKK (source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan);
  • (3) created Jim Crow laws (source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Crow_laws);
  • (4) and imposed racial segregation (source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Democrats).
It’s hard to get much lower than that, and there will most likely be consequences for that in the next election. Especially since most voters do not agree with the Democrats on their pathetic positions on border security.
Harvard-Harris Poll (17-to-19-JAN-2018); 980 persons polled (source: www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/jan/23/roughly-80-of-all-voters-say-us-needs-secure-borde/ ):
  • 79%: (87%Rep, 79%Ind, 72%Dem): Want Merit Based Immigration
  • 79%: (93%Rep, 80%Ind, 68%Dem): Want Secure Borders
  • 61%: (84%Rep, 64%Ind, 40%Dem): Say Current Border is Inadequate
  • 68%: (78%Rep, 65%Ind, 62%Dem): Want to End the VISA Lottery
  • 54%: (85%Rep, 54%Ind, 30%Dem): Want physical and electronic border barrier
  • 60%: (93%Rep, 80%Ind, 68%Dem): Say NO to DACA Relatives
Hopefully, more and more Americans are catching onto the depth of the depravity of the Democrat’s scheme to acquire power through such despicable methods. It is not simply due to their hatred for Trump, because this was going on long before Trump ran for President. Hopefully, Republicans are starting to figure this out too … if they don’t want to see the extinction of their Republican party?

Many thanks to our Pal d.a.n. for sharing the Washington Times polling results on border and immigration issues.

At least two Democrats running for the presidential nomination have called for “repartitions” for blacks.

We all believed that “affirmative action” was reparation.

We all believed the “war on poverty”, housing, medical, food and educational assistance was reparation.

I guess we must actually cut a United States Treasury check payable to every person in the country who feels they deserve reparations for something that may have happened to an ancestor. I want reparations for the way my Irish ancestors were treated. I have a Chinese friend who feels the same.

Frum seems to have been proven right D., The question is do you support this type of power grab by the repubs? You sure like to cover for the repubs by pointing to the dems as if they were involved in any power grab.

From the link above-
“It all amounts to a sustained campaign by one of the nation’s two major political parties to shield itself from citizens, entrench its own power and use every tool at its disposal to disenfranchise the rival party and its voters.”

Yep the repubs D., yet you refuse to acknowledge these dirty deeds. I am not the least bit surprised as your track record shows us you project onto the dems what the repubs are guilty of. Ignoring citizens initiatives that are voted into the law by the people is alright with D.. Completely ignoring the voters will for a year is alright with D. Not putting a presidential SCOTUS pick up for a vote is alright with D. as long as it is the repubs doing it. IMHO D., that is much more nasty, vulgar, racist, hateful than anything I have ever said .

While we are at it D. lets deal with your bogus BS from 50 years ago about the Dems. Who gives a f**k about 50 years ago, lets talk about the new Dem led House of Representatives. What was their first bill, HR1.

an anti-corruption bill that is also a voting rights and ethics bill. Yeah McConnell has already said it is dead in the Senate.

Now the way I remember it you guys were all about draining the swamp. I know what BS. You guys are the problem not the solution. Your 5o year old rant about Dems is misleading and obfuscates what is going on today. Just what you planned…right?

j2t2 conveniently ignores what many Democrats and socialist/leftist extremists are today, who :
  • (01) despicably pits U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants against each other for votes, by pandering to illegal immigrants for 30+ years, for more votes (via more representation in the House, via more U.S. House representatives, via apportionment of representatives (and more electoral votes, and more federal funding), based on population, based on the decennial CENSUS, which does NOT verify U.S. citizenship);
  • (02) fight against a [x]citizenship check-box on decennial CENSUS;
  • (03) lie about level of crime by illegal immigrants, and refuse to report 2,000 homicides per year by criminal non-citizens (source: DHS, GAO, cis.org);
  • (04) lie about the cost of massive illegal (and legal) immigration (about $300 Billion per year in net losses; sources: www.washingtontimes.com ; www.youtube.com/watch?v=msGVs4lFDw4 );
  • (05) call for open borders;
  • (06) call for the abolishment of I.C.E.;
  • (07) call for another amnesty, like the shamnesty of 1986;
  • (08) refuse requirements for employers to use eVerify;
  • (09) give illegal immigrants drivers’ licenses, and also automatically register them to vote at the same time; and then Democrats ignore many tens of thousands of instances of voter fraud by illegal immigrants (source: site2data.com/voting1.html);
  • (10) want more mayors like Libby Schaaf, who warns illegal immigrants before an ICE raid to arrest criminal illegal immigrants;
  • (11) want more sanctuary cities and states, where Democrats (and A.G. Xavier Becerra) passed sanctuary city and state laws that protect criminal non-citizens (e.g. an illegal immigrant, Garcia Zarate (already deported 5 times) can shoot and murder Kate Steinle, and be acquitted for that murder);
  • (12) want to abolish or restrict 2nd Amendment rights, and say it is worth it “even if it saves only ONE life”, but conveniently ignore 2,000 homicides per year by criminal non-citizens (source: site2data.com/homicides1.html);

The problem with that is, once the electorate discovers they can vote to acquire anything they want from the treasury, the nation will go bankrupt, finally proving that “we can all (somehow) live at the expense of everyone else” is a myth.
How did that sort of socialism work out for Venezuela (today), East Germany (ended 1990), Ethiopia (ended 1991), Poland (ended 1989), Romania (ended 1990), USSR (ended 1991), and some other nations that are struggling with problems inherent to socialism?

What extremists on both sides fail to understand is that what is required is a balance that does not violate basic rights.

Collectivism:
Working together, as a collective, can be a good thing, an much of what we do every day is a collective effort (in the workplace, at home, in our communities), but people should not be forced into it. Unions are an prime example of carrying collectivism too far; such as forcing teachers or employees to pay union dues, when some members do not adhere to the principals of the union (or the political party in many cases).

Individualism:
An aspect of Individualism, such as “competition” has many advantages too, until it is carried too far; such as rooting and scheming for your competitors failure (i.e. much like Congress, and the two major political parties).

EXTREMISM:
Both (Collectivism and Individualism) have positive aspects, until each is carried to an extreme.

Common-sense, and the Constitution can go a long ways to finding that balance, and restricting destructive extremism.

There is plenty of extremism all around, but today, there is far too much extremism on the left (now by many Democrats and socialists within the Democrat party); so much so, that it has reached the level of despicable”, because too many Democrats have demonstrated by their following 12 deeds (rooted mostly in lust for power and greed), in which many Democrats:

  • (01) despicably pit U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants against each other for votes, by pandering to illegal immigrants for 30+ years, for more votes (via more representation in the House, via more U.S. House representatives, via apportionment of representatives (and more electoral votes, and more federal funding), based on population, based on the decennial CENSUS, which does NOT verify U.S. citizenship);
  • (02) fighting against a [x]citizenship check-box on decennial CENSUS;
  • (03) lie about level of crime by illegal immigrants, and refuse to report 2,000 homicides per year by criminal non-citizens (source: DHS, GAO, cis.org);
  • (04) lie about the cost of massive illegal (and legal) immigration (about $300 Billion per year in net losses; sources: www.washingtontimes.com ; www.youtube.com/watch?v=msGVs4lFDw4 );
  • (05) call for open borders; even Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and many other Democrats today are calling walls “immoral”, despite voting for physcial barriers in the past;
  • (06) call for the abolishment of I.C.E.;
  • (07) call for another amnesty, like the shamnesty of 1986, which more than qunitupled the problem;
  • (08) refuse requirement for employers to use eVerify;
  • (09) give illegal immigrants drivers’ licenses, and also automatically register them to vote at the same time; and then Democrats ignore many tens of thousands of instances of voter fraud by illegal immigrants (source: site2data.com/voting1.html);
  • (10) acquire more mayors like Libby Schaaf, who warns illegal immigrants before an ICE raid to arrest criminal illegal immigrants;
  • (11) acquire more sanctuary cities and states, where Democrats (and A.G. Xavier Becerra) passed sanctuary city and state laws that protect criminal non-citizens (e.g. an illegal immigrant, Garcia Zarate (already deported 5 times) can shoot and murder Kate Steinle, and be acquitted for that murder);
  • (12) abolish or restrict 2nd Amendment rights, and say it is worth it “even if it saves only ONE life”, but conveniently ignore 2,000 homicides per year by criminal non-citizens (source: site2data.com/homicides1.html);
The lure of “Collectivism” and “Socialism” is strong, because many people think they’re going to get a lot of free stuff. And they might, but not for long.
However, are there enough people in the U.S. today to choose “Socialism”?
Or, will there be enough people in the U.S. who understand that such extremism (as in those 12 facts above) is a recipe for disaster (especially for a nation that already has a $22 Trillion national debt of nightmare proportions)?

open-borders phx8 wrote above on 21-FEB-2019: But I am sure of this: Cohen will be devastating next week.
phx8, how did that work out today?
Perhaps phx8 simply hates “white” people, based on these 13 derogatory comments about “white” people ?
