Comey v. Trump - The Comedy of the 302's

At Red State, Elizabeth Vaughn has been following a key aspect of Michael Flynn’s charges, charges which he most likely pled guilty to in order to ease the threats against family members like his son, and because of escalating legal bills. The key aspect is what’s called the 302 reports.

The 302's are what the FBI agents write up after interviewing a suspect or a person of interest or any person they wish to gain information from. A 302 was written up shortly after 2 agents - one of them being the notorious Peter Strzok of the NeverTrump texting with Lisa Page - interviewed Michael Flynn on January 24, 2017, just a few days after the Trump administration moved into the White House. Then 7 months later in July of 2017 a new 302 was written up based on what appears to have been an interview with Strzok where the January interview was discussed.

Judge Emmet G. Sullivan has demanded the original 302 - not the one from July that was given to the court - and a memorandum written at that time (late January 2017) by then Deputy Director Andrew McCabe who suggested to Flynn that a lawyer not be present and who instructed the agents not to mention to Flynn that any inconsistency in the facts that he presented regarding his recollections of his perfectly legal conversations with Russia's ambassador would technically be a crime. All in order to ensure Flynn was "relaxed".

This was a set up from the get-go.

And Comey isn't even bothering to hide the fact. It's incredible. Here's part of Comey's recent chat with MSNBC's Nicole Wallace in front of what was clearly a friendly and Trump-hostile audience in Manhattan:

"Something I wouldn't have done or maybe wouldn't have gotten away with in a more organized administration, in the George W. Bush administration, for example, or the Obama administration (laughter from the audience). The protocol, two men that all of us have increased appreciation for over the last two years (more laughter). And in both of those administrations, there was process, so if the FBI wanted to send agents into the White House itself to interview a senior official, you would work through the White House counsel and there would be discussions and approvals and it would be there. And I thought it's early enough, let's just send a couple of guys over (laughter)."

What can I get away with?

That's the mindset of the administrative state in all it's condescending display of bureaucratic power. If you're not an expert at manipulating process for partisan policy ends, you do not deserve respect.

Or justice.

Yes, this is how Washington - and most current governments in fact - have worked for some time. The only thing holding it together is process. The detailed, arcane rules that keep people from shooting at each other. Until they do. Like in Paris.

That's not enough to hold a republic together, as the founding fathers knew so well. Seeing some of them literally shot at each other in duels: senators, newspaper editors, and of course Burr v. Hamilton. They knew that a republic unmoored from the God-given values that sustained America over her astonishing development, is dangerous.

In fact, what has replaced the duel in our times is the Tweet. Twitter has become an ideological and verbal fight-to-the-death in the name of not quite honor, but rather, deep policy and cultural conflicts. Perhaps it's as much a pressure valve to avoid actually shooting as also a cause of the escalating conflict. Although there have been a few tragic exceptions to this lately, where Twitter has been more of a diary of a violent loner about to kill.

So, Comey has come clean essentially on what was always and what remains a plot to remove an elected president from the White House because of hostility to both his policies and his manners. And the answer from those who despise the president?

Laughter.

The slow-motion tragedy of the plot against Trump (tragic in its longer-term implications for government in America and elsewhere, as much as in the specifics of the plot) is comedy in the eyes of Trump's many opponents. We have taken laughter out of late-night comedy shows and dumped the mirth in the middle of what will soon be a full-blown impeachment effort.

Yet, little (or none) of this was investigated, and few were indicted?

4 death penalty charges for Trmp, espionage, treason, and the deaths of 2 kidnapped children. Now everyone who worked to facilitate the kidnappings can be tried for their lives, but I suppose it’s better than 10,000 or so years each in prison, with a mandatory 20 year sentence for each kidnapped child moved across a state line. (“I vas chust follovink horders” didn’t vork for Eichmann, but he was no rocket surgeon)

Peter Strzok is a notorious hero to Americans for his efforts combating russian espionage. The reich wing is so far down the rabbit hole they’re meeting rabbits from the antipodes. “the plot against Trump”, more like Conspiracy Against The United States.

Hannah Arendt “invariably replaces all first-rate talents,

At the end of the war, Richard Strauss wrote in his private diary:

Voltaire: Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Some few of the rest of the impeachment charges:

18 uscode 227 - Wrongfully influencing a private entity’s employment decisions

2. Death from above

3. Death by misadventure
He dies, and we never know exactly what happened, leaving David Pecker to come up with the theories.
4. Assassination
He crossed Putin, and he’s opening himself up by his attitude to the Secret Service
5. Suicide
Not likely, but it could happen. This would also leave David Pecker to theorize. If an unsuccessful suicide attempt, this could trigger number six.
6. 25th amendment solution
Everyone already knows that he’s completely bonkers, and no one can rely on him. “His” generals are IMO the most likely to turn on him.
7. Resignation
The family gets him to pardon them all. He declares himself pardoned also and resigns. Legal battle ensues.
8. Impeachment
The democratic leadership doesn’t want this yet. In the USHOR, they could vote against it with wingnuts to keep him in, or abstain in enough numbers to make it all the other party’s responsibility. If it gets to the Senate, then, yes I think they might vote for impeachment.

Early 1900s
“The American citizen and pensioner Friedrich Drumpf, currently residing in Kallstadt, is hereby informed that he is to depart the state of Bavaria, or face deportation.”

to Prince Luitpold of Bavaria:

Most Serene, Most Powerful Prince Regent! Most Gracious Regent and Lord!

I was born in Kallstadt on March 14, 1869. My parents were honest, plain, pious vineyard workers. They strictly held me to everything good — to diligence and piety, to regular attendance in school and church, to absolute obedience toward the high authority.

After my confirmation, in 1882, I apprenticed to become a barber. I emigrated in 1885, in my sixteenth year. In America I carried on my business(whoremongering) with diligence, discretion, and prudence. God’s blessing was with me, and I became rich. I obtained American citizenship in 1892. In 1902 I met my current wife. Sadly, she could not tolerate the climate in New York, and I went with my dear family back to Kallstadt.

The town was glad to have received a capable and productive citizen. My old mother was happy to see her son, her dear daughter-in-law, and her granddaughter around her; she knows now that I will take care of her in her old age.

But we were confronted all at once, as if by a lightning strike from fair skies, with the news that the High Royal State Ministry had decided that we must leave our residence in the Kingdom of Bavaria. We were paralyzed with fright; our happy family life was tarnished. My wife has been overcome by anxiety, and my lovely child has become sick.

Why should we be deported? This is very, very hard for a family. What will our fellow citizens think if honest subjects are faced with such a decree — not to mention the great material losses it would incur. I would like to become a Bavarian citizen again.

In this urgent situation I have no other recourse than to turn to our adored, noble, wise, and just sovereign lord, our exalted ruler His Royal Highness, highest of all, who has already dried so many tears, who has ruled so beneficially and justly and wisely and softly and is warmly and deeply loved, with the most humble request that the highest of all will himself in mercy deign to allow the applicant to stay in the most gracious Kingdom of Bavaria.

Your most humble and obedient,

Friedrich Drumpf

A little bit on Wilbur Ross:

After becoming commerce secretary, Wilbur L. Ross Jr. retained investments in a shipping firm he once controlled that has significant business ties to a Russian oligarch subject to American sanctions and President Vladimir V. Putin’s son-in-law, according to newly disclosed documents.

The shipper, Navigator Holdings, earns millions of dollars a year transporting gas for one of its top clients, a giant Russian energy company called Sibur, whose owners include the oligarch and Mr. Putin’s family member. Despite selling off numerous other holdings to join the Trump administration and spearhead its “America first” trade policy, Mr. Ross kept an investment in Navigator, which increased its business dealings with Sibur even as the West sought to punish Russia’s energy sector over Mr. Putin’s incursions into Ukraine.

We really need a special prosecutor to locate and extract money from tax cheats. Regular prosecutors are just not up to the job.

Too bad Mueller (or some other investigation) isn’t going after tax-cheats on the left too.
Probably 80% (or more) of Congress would be found to be tax cheats if investigated.

Ohrealy posts a cartoon stating that illegal immigrants commit fewer crimes than U.S. citizens.
That may have been true in the past, but not today, because GAO-Report-11-187 states states that there were 25,064 homicides by illegal immigrants incarcerated in U.S. prisons and jails in only 5 states (AZ,CA,FL,NY,TX) by illegal immigrants incarcerated between 2003 and 2009 (7 years), and the homicides occurred between AUG-1955 and APR-2010 (54.7 years). However, GAO-Report-11-187 states that 90% of all crimes occurred after 1990 (after the shamnesty of 1986 (i.e. 2010 - 1990 = 20 years); see chart below).

Therefore, (90% of 25,064 = 22,557 homicides) / (2010 - 1990 = 20 years) = 1,128 homicides per year (3.09 homicides per day) by illegal immigrants, which is 6.54% of the total of 17,250 homicides in year 2016, and 1,128 homicides / 12 million is 0.000094 homicides per illegal immigrant, which is a homicide rate by illegal immigrants that is 1.8 times greater than the homicide rate by U.S. citizens (i.e. 17,250 homicides / 328 Million = 0.0000524 homicides per U.S. citizen; and 0.000094 / 0000524 = 1.8 times more homicides by illegal immigrants, than by U.S. citizens). And that is a very conservative estimate, because that is only for 5 states (AZ,CA,FL,NY,TX).

Therefore, claims by Democrats that illegal immigrants commit fewer crimes appears to be false (based on GAO-Report-11-187).

Also, claims by Democrats that there are no net monetary losses due to illegal immigrants also appears to be false (estimated net losses are $296 Billion). And those costs do not include all costs (i.e. due to crime; job displacement; etc.).

Based on the following, many Democrats and others on the left have clearly demonstrated that they have nefarious and despicable motives, to acquire more VOTES, via:
  • (01) more U.S. House representatives, via re-apportionment of representatives (and electoral votes), based on population, based on the decennial CENSUS, which does not verify U.S. citizenship.
  • (02) many Democrats who are also fighting against a check-box on the CENSUS, despite the check-box being totally inadequate to prove citizenship.
  • (03) many Democrats who are also want open borders.
  • (04) many Democrats who are have also demanded that I.C.E. be abolished.
  • (05) many Democrats who refuse to allow more spending for physical border barriers.
  • (06) many Democrats who want another shamnesty, like the shamnesty of 1986;
  • (07) many Democrats who want more sanctuary cities and states, like California, where Democrats have passed sanctuary city and sanctuary state laws that protect criminal illegal immigrants (i.e. an illegal immigrant by the name of Garcia Zarate (who had already been deported 5 times) can shoot and murder Kate Steinle, and be (www.cnn.com/2017/11/30/us/kate-steinle-murder-trial-verdict/index.html) acquitted for that murder, despite Zarate admitting to shooting the weapon that killed Kate Steinle (which should have been, at the very least, manslaughter);
  • (08) many Democrats who want to abolish the 2nd amendment, but many Democrats and many on the left call for restricting or eliminating 2nd Amendment rights, and say it is worth it “even if it saves only ONE life”, but Democrats conveniently ignore the 1,128 people killed per year by illegal immigrants (6.5% of the total number of homicides in 2016); Democrats ignore the fact that 32% of everyone in federal prison (as of 2018) is an illegal immigrant (total federal prison population was 1.47 Million in 2003, and 1.5 Million in 2008);
  • (09) many Democrats who want more despicable mayors like Libby Schaaf (Oakland, CA), who warns illegal immigrants (including criminal illegal immigrants) before an ICE raid to arrest criminal illegal immigrants;
  • (10) the Obama administration, who released from 30,558 criminal illegal immigrants with a total of 79,059 convictions (2.6 convictions per criminal illegal immigrant), instead of deporting them.
    And, between October 1, 2010 and July 21, 2015, the Obama administration released 124 criminal aliens who were later charged with murder-related crimes committed in the U.S. after their release, and before February 2016.
    Source: cis.org/Vaughan/Free-Kill-124-Criminal-Aliens-Released-Obama-Policies-Charged-Homicide-2010 ;
  • (11) many Democrats, who try to disguise their desire for power (for THEIR party) as compassion for illegal immigrants, while Democrats despicably pit U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants against each other for more votes (and cheap labor).
The common-thread in the list above of everything the Democrats do is that it is motivated by their desire to acquire more power for THEIR party, by acquiring more VOTES by despicably pitting U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants against each other for more votes.
