Why We Have to Talk About Prostitutes in Moscow

Salacious but unverified. What do you think I’m referring to? What could it possibly be but that scene that was rumored to have taken place in 2013 at the Ritz Carlton in Moscow, on Trump’s visit to the city for the 2013 Miss Universe Pageant.

Yes, once again, we're going to talk about prostitutes peeing on a bed at the Presidential Suite at the Ritz Carlton in Moscow. We're even going to drill down (go ahead let's hear your jokes) and examine the statistical possibility that this event did in fact happen and was not merely an unsubstantiated rumor.

Why in God's name do we have to do this?

This is why:

If candidate Trump and then President Trump had been compromised by the Russians, he would then be vulnerable to blackmail. So rather than a brainwashed Manchurian candidate, Trump would be more like a politician with a scandal he or she is desperate to keep secret and therefore willing to bend on important matters in order to avoid scandal and remain in power. That's the logic behind the kompromat claim on Trump.

The supposed salacious scene at the Ritz was central to Christopher Steele's Dossier and his claim that newly elected President Trump was indeed vulnerable to blackmail by Putin's regime. Byron York in his latest piece at the Washington Examiner does indeed drill down and examine how likely that scandal was in fact, in part by referring to Michael Isikoff and David Corn's new book: Russian Roulette, The Inside Story of Putin's War on America and the Election of Donald Trump.

Please remember that both Isikoff and Corn were part of the small cadre of seasoned journalists that were fed stories from the Steele Dossier by Glenn Simpson's Fusion GPS. Neither could be considered a conservative writer. But now, they have real doubts as they write in their new book, on the veracity of Steele's most shocking claim, the reason he informed Comey of the dossier and the supposed risk of blackmail against Trump. A claim that set in motion a chain of events that ended up with the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

How likely was it that Trump paid for that salacious act which was supposedly captured on video by Kremlin agents? Steele put it loosely at fifty-fifty apparently. But Isikoff and Corn carefully review Trump's agenda during that brief visit to Moscow and conclude it would have been very difficult for him to have found the time, never mind that by all accounts Trump was horrified and disgusted by the story when Comey and the other Intel heads informed him of it in January 2017, just before Buzzfeed published the dossier.

The anonymous source for this story is supposedly Sergei Millian, a Belorussian-American businessman and supposed go-between for Trump. He seems to have been an unwitting source who spoke to one of Steele's so-called "collectors." Glenn Simpson himself, a veteran WSJ reporter, had doubts as to Millian's story and doubted the scandal was provable, according to some of his own testimony to Congress.

Glenn Simpson was right: in Putin's Russia it has been impossible to prove that it did happen. And of course, it is a tricky business trying prove a negative. Especially in the shadowy world of anonymous sources and disinformation that both Steele - as a Russia expert - and Putin as an ex-KGB know well. The Ritz Carlton scandal has, however, proved it's purpose for Steele and Simpson, if not for Hillary. And it has helped undermine an administration and sow more division and distrust throughout America and its allies. Who are the useful idiots here?

So as Connor Lamb supporters finally collapse in an exhausted heap after high-fiving each other and as Democrats dream of a big blue wave in November, America faces the possibility of an impeachment trial - probably unsuccessful but very damaging nonetheless - because a former British spy hired ultimately by Hillary's campaign team, a spy who detested and no doubt still detests Trump, decided to spread a rumor throughout Washington

A rumor that will be impossible to prove or disprove, until Putin is gone and Russia can have another go at democracy, assuming democracy elsewhere is still functioning reasonably well.

That's why we have to talk about prostitutes supposedly peeing on a hotel bed in Moscow.

You’re making it pretty clear that these articles are written by the same person who writes in the “independent” column, making these column divisions pointless.

Dumpty has been on the russian radar since he married Ivana in 1977 and her father began reporting his activities to the Czech secret police in the era that they were working closely with the KGB

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/dec/15/czechoslovakia-spied-on-donald-trump-ivana-files

After they went on a trip to russia, Dumpty became interested in the presidency.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-trump-1996-presidential-race-20170112-story.html

Before he owned the miss universe pageant, he was a s3x tourist in St. Petersburg. The russians know everything about him. They keep track of people who can be useful to them.

So it can’t be true because Trump was horrified when he was told it was known here in this country! Such a silly argument. Trump is known to pay for s*x regularly, which it seems is a conservative ideological principle, and is known for his famous “grab them by the pu**y” principle.

The problem IMHO is the conservative led attacks on Bill Clinton and many others over the years as they sought to make one’s s*x life a campaign issue. Up until that time it wasn’t the public’s business what politicians did on their own dime and on their own time.

Seems to me, and not just the hypocrisy thing conservatives, it has come home to roost. Trump can be co-opted by the Russians for his s*xual preferences despite it being a personal matter. He is doing the country a grave harm by kowtowing to Putin every chance he gets. Firing Tillerson over the nerve gas issue, deafening silence when Putin boasts of new nuclear weapons, as examples. When we add in his campaign and the Russian help it is no wonder his hands are tied. It is sad he won’t do the right thing for the American people who don’t believe this is making America great again.

Because of a shortage of integrity and honor in this administration we have to live with the consequences of conservative principles and Russian domination. But we shouldn’t have to. It is time for conservatives leaders to come to Jesus and confess what it is they have been doing and to get to the point, in s*xual terms, where politicians cannot be co-opted by their s*xual preferences.

Sounds easy enough ….right? But I don’t hold out much hope for the US in this matter. Our long slow slide into the dark ages of conservatism won’t let us do this.

Does anybody wonder if it was Trumps “back channel” that was opened to the Russians?

Well that is the problem isn’t it. The stigma we attach to these different proclivities gets us in a bind when someone holds them over our head. Private moments become fodder for the corporate press and foreign oligarchist. How do we get away from this type of capitulation by our politicians?

j2tw,
“Because of a shortage of integrity and honor in this administration we have to live with the consequences of conservative principles and Russian domination.”

Well said. There are a some honorable people, but it only takes a few to dishonor the whole administration. Trump is compromised, and it is glaringly obvious. The crooks and traitors are in ascension, and the nature of the conservative echo chamber makes them terribly vulnerable to Russian propaganda funneled through the likes of Wikileaks, Hannity, Limbaugh, FOX, and a whole host of web sites such as Infowars, Gatewaypundit, Daily Caller, and Zero Hedge. Misinformation only has to enter one of those sites to be repeated- echoed- by the others. Democracy hangs by a thread. We are depending on fair midterms and the Mueller investigation. That thread is thinner than it looks.

The Christian evangelicals pretend to be moral, yet support a man with children by three different women, harassment allegations and worse by more than a dozen, an affairs with a p*rn star while his wife was attending their newborn, an affair with a playboy model, payoffs to many, and who knows how what other perversions. And these ‘religious conservatives,’ these arbiters of morality, expect to be respected? The supporters of Trump and Moore could not do more to discredit their religious beliefs if they tried. If their religion makes it okay to support promiscuous liars, traitors, and crooks, then… why bother pretending? Just go to the dark side and be done with it!

phx8 ignores the pack mentality of the MSM for the last 40 years in his criticism of right leaning news sources.

It’s apparent the left has no stomach for an alternative viewpoint. The left doesn’t want anyone telling the public what under the rug when it gets lifted.

True Royal, but I just can’t stop looking.
Their silliness leads me to believe that they will start blaming Putin and Trump for the pedestrian bridge collapse in Miami, or for suppressing UFO and Bigfoot info.

A fact is a fact. Agreeing on a fact does not mean there is a ‘herd mentality.’

A lie is a lie, not an ‘alternative viewpoint,’ or as Kellyanne Conway put it so famously, an “alternative fact.”

Here is Trump speaking at a fundraiser, shortly after he met with PM Trudeau from Canada:

“”Nice guy, good-looking guy, comes in — ‘Donald, we have no trade deficit.’ He’s very proud because everybody else, you know, we’re getting killed. I said, ‘Wrong, Justin, you do.’ I didn’t even know. … I had no idea. I just said, ‘You’re wrong.”

Look at this carefully. Trump is ignorant and openly admits it. He is upprepared. He really doesn’t know whether the US runs a trade deficit with Canada or not. And then he lies to the Canadian PM, and openly admits it. He doesn’t know, so he just makes something up.

Isn’t it funny you guys bring up the UFO’s just after Trump has announced his intentions for a “space force” for the US. I know you guys were trying to paint this thread and all as mere fairy tales concocted by the MSM, but perhaps you should tell Trump that.

Every day our Pals on the Left wake up with expectations of a story that actually has smoke and fire regarding President Trump and the Russians.

They search all their favorite TV media and then, with fingers flying, search all their usual Left-Wing on-line talking and brain-dead show hosts. Aw…shucks…nothing again today that has any meat on its bones. OH, Well, I’ll either drag up some old news or make up something to share with my WB buddies who never doubt anything.

If it’s bad news headline for the nation, or bad news headline for Trump, they run with it even if it isn’t true. I have lost track of the number of stories Liberal WBers were so proud to link only to find the story did not support their thinking at all.

Taking their lead from Mighty Mueller, who has yet to find evidence of criminality in the Trump campaign, or the president himself, these bone-heads search the world to find something, anything, that will justify Liberalism and their hatred for all that is traditionally good.

I suspect some of these Lefties sleep with a photo of Pelosi, Schumer, or Waters under their pillow.

I’m surprised the “author” of this article neglected to mention Nastasia Vashukevich, aka Nastya Rybka

She posted a video on Instagram of Deripaska and Russian deputy prime minister Sergei Prikhodko on a yacht discussing Russia’s interference in the election. The video has since been removed from the site. She also said she has photos and videos of Deripaska meeting with at least three unnamed Americans in 2016 and 2017. Deripaska, who denied the affair, is also an ex-business associate of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

change the 3 to an e to make the link work

My favorite is when they parrot Maddow, Mathews, Louise Mensch, Mad Maxine Waters etc… as if it were fact, then claim those who question them are listening to propagandists and trying to divide the country.
