Obama's race problem

If you want to have that proverbial honest discussion about race & gender, we have to recognize that Obama represents one side of that discussion on which honest, non-racists, non-sexists can find morally objectionable. The most recent example is the the misguided idea that government needs to “diversify” Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley is already plenty diverse. White Americans, who still make up around 63% of the population, are underrepresented, as are black Americans, Hispanics and women. Members of all three of these groups need to work harder if they want to participate. And it is immoral for government to step in to help them accomplish through coercive programs what their ambitions, work and talents do not justify.

This is the reference article for this discussion. There are others.

I think liberals honestly believe that they hold the moral high ground and I bet they are honestly surprised to learn that I honesty think they are being immoral. That is not to say that I am right and that they are wrong. But I am getting mighty sick of them saying that they want an honest debate and then calling intelligent and thoughtful people like me stupid or racist when we answer.

I never liked Eric Holder. I think he was a force for disunity. I recall when he called Americans cowards for not having an honest debate. But for him, "honest debate" means that opponents admit guilt and beg forgiveness.

An honest debate might be interesting. It will not be possible until both sides agree that the other is not evil.

This “push” sounds like lip service rather than anything substantive.

Warren

Maybe it is true that they are just talking and don’t really care about the result. I hope that they are being hypocritical, since it will do less damage. But even the lip service is damaging. It is divisive. Maybe the Obama folks are indeed doing it just for show. That is very craven. They are dividing Americans for ephemeral political gain. What can be more immoral?

Without a doubt, this administration has intentionally divided the people amongst themselves for political gain.

Conservatives are the stupidest people I know. Wow, it seems really easy to make unsubstantiated remarks with no citation or backing of any kind. Who knew?

Now I’m not racist or anything like that but if someone perceives me as being racist, it’s the black guys fault.

So C&J, if you feel mighty sick when called stupid OR racist, how do you feel when you have been called stupid AND racist?

LOL!!!

Innuendo.

Cognitive reasoning can sometimes be difficult but it is worth the effort.

We are talking about a president who just compared Republican congressmen and senators, as well as many Democratics, to Iranians who call for “death to America “. Are we really surprised at his comments about racism? Obama has done his best to divide the nation. Like most of those from the left; they seek to outdo each other with outrageous comments.

Speaks - I need not make a citation for an assertion.

If you treat similar behaviors differently only because of race, you are racist. If you treat different behaviors similarly only because of race, you are racist. If you do neither of those things, you are not.

If someone perceives me as racist, I wonder why, but if they cannot point to particular behaviors as listed above, they indeed are mistaken.

My innuendos accused no one.

The first statement was meant to provide an example of anything outlandish I wanted to type without substantiation or citation. It was directed to some of the statements by the author and comments following that. That is all.

The second statement was meant to provide an example of a view on racism that seems prevalent, to me, sometimes. Criticism of an African American President by labeling him as a racist or having a race problem. I need not make a citation for an assertion either. I called no one a racist.

The way I see racism could best be described by a statement about the definition of pornography that I remember from a long time ago. I can’t define in words what racism is but I know it when I see it. I have seen a lot of that in the past 7 years.

It would appear we have another person making comments that does not comprehend the difference between an adjective and a noun.
