Election Fraud Convictions in Ohio

A couple of officials in heavily Democratic Cuyahoga County were convicted of election fraud. The real story does not look like the foil hat conspiracy theory scenario. Evidently, election officials were just too lazy or stupid to do the recount right. Cuyahoga County gave 67% of its votes to Kerry, BTW.

This is how it always it. Activists rave and swear about election fraud or abuse. When all the dust settles, it is either some prosaic screw up - always in jurisdiction controlled by Dems and often where they get 2/3 of the vote (such as Broward of Cuyahoga) - or it is the Dems themselves behaving in questionable ways.

It takes a couple of years to find the truth. By then it is old news. By then, the liberal circus has moved down the road and the Dems have convinced themselves that their myth is the truth. They keep repeating discredited anecdotes and innuendo. That is why it is so important to point out that when all the facts were in, nobody could find significant fraud in Florida in 2000 or Ohio in 2004, or in either election generally. Sorry, I am not entirely correct. They found a few stupid officials, some randomly distributed error and a few crooked Democrats, but nothing big enough to swing the election. I think the Dems need a soundtrack to go their sad scenario as they shuffle away. This old Jimi Hendrix song fits the bill.

After all the jacks are in their boxes
And the clowns have all gone to bed
You can hear happiness staggering on down the street
Footsteps dressed in red
And the wind whispers mary
A broom is drearily sweeping
Up the broken pieces of yesterdays life
Somewhere a queen is weeping
Somewhere a king has no wife
And the wind, it cries mary
The traffic lights, they turn, uh, blue tomorrow
And shine their emptiness down on my bed
The tiny island sags down stream
cause the life that lived is,
Is dead
And the wind screams mary
Uh-will the wind ever remember
The names it has blow in the past?
And with this crutch, its old age, and its wisdom
It whispers no, this will be the last
And the wind cries mary

By the way Merry Fitzmas.
