Biography: Radicalized by reading the biographies of New World explorers as a child, I refused to watch Westerns which dehumanized the natives, long before the term "politically correct" existed. I've been tempered by age, but won't compromise my sense of justice for expedience sake. Along the way I've studied chemistry, done surgery on rats, planted trees, managed a map store, tested software, and competed in the World Scrabble Championship. Cross ideological dialog is essential for our democracy, so here I am.
