Biography: Time has come and gone, and many things have changed since I first wrote for this site, some for the better, some for the worse. The mantle of responsiblity has passed to my party in Congress, and now the center of gravity changes for those like myself. Some would retreat to the old comforts of fighting the Republicans and voicing our opposition, but that's not the right path for what's ahead. Having figured out what we will not tolerate in a government, Democrats must now figure out what they really want, what they're willing to sacrifice, and how to clean up the mess left by their predecessors. As one of them, I cannot help but feel the pressure, but as somebody who didn't back down from the worst that my rivals had to cast at me before, I see no reason for any of us to back down from the greatest challenge we've faced so far: the wise use of power, the test our predecessor so unfortunately failed. Join me as we venture into the brave new frontier of political thought and policy.
