Biography: I teach sociology at a local community college and have been a political activist since the 1970's where I got my "baptism" through the women's and environmental movements. My primary areas of concern and writing are social justice, globalization, and the environment. I believe that we need to stimulate an unprecedented level of political and social involvement in the United States. It is clear that the U.S. is actively involved in a form of empire building at a time when we need to be working together globally on significant threatens to both life and sovereignty.
