Conservatives Still Telling Lies About Health Care Bill

Right wing source CNSNews has brought us the latest attack on Obama and the health care reform bill. Apparently money has been awarded to health centers that service patients who may be illegal immigrant workers. CNS thinks this vindicates Joe Wilson for his outrageously disrespectful “You lie!” comment a few years back.

CNSNews passed off a truncated version of Obama's statement that Joe Wilson objected to in order to make him appear to say that no reform whatsoever in the bill would apply to those who are here illegally.

These Obamacare disbursements seem to contradict a claim President Obama famously made in a nationally televised speech to a joint session of Congress on Sept. 9, 2009.

“The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally,” Obama said then.

When Obama said these words, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) shouted out from the House floor: "You lie!"

Of course CNSNews supplies a clip that proves their own dishonesty by revealing the full context of Obama's statement. Here is that full context:

There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms -- the reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.

Obama is clearly speaking about insurance reforms and not all matters of health care for illegals. Only through ignoring the context can Obama be made to claim that no aspect of the health care bill would ever effect illegal immigrants. Frankly to accomplish such a requirement would not only be unfeasible but unethical as well.

I'm shocked to find Conservatives still lying about this. I'm shocked, surprised, and saddened. Okay, so maybe I'm getting too sarcastic. Is anyone surprised by what the American right will roll out to attack Obama with? They spent 8 years complaining about Bush Derangement Syndrome but haven't noticed they picked up an acute case of it themselves that they take out on the new guy.

Nobody really knows what Obamacare will be or what it will cost. When you say conservative lie, all you are saying is that they refuse to believe the lies told by Obama and the Democrats. Already people are having to change plans and pay more and it has not even really started yet. Obama told us we would save money, nobody would have to change doctors and health care would improve. Did he lie?

C&J: “Obama told us we would save money, nobody would have to change doctors and health care would improve.”

None of those things are true?

At first, I thought this was an Stephen Daugherty article.

At any rate, the majority of voters have the government that they elect, and re-elect, … , and re-elect, at least, possibly, until repeatedly rewarding failure, repeatedly rewarding the duopoly, and repeatedly rewarding FOR-SALE, incompetent, arrogant, and corrupt incumbent politicians in Congress for these abuses with perpetual re-election finally becomes too painful.

HHHMMmmmmmm … which of these two extreme categories does this article belong to?

  • Extreme #1: One extreme wants regressive taxation, unfettered capitalism and freedom to explore and wallow in every manifestation of unchecked greed (which we have seen plenty of lately).

  • Extreme #2: The other extreme wants a nanny-state with citizens increasingly dependent on the government; with massive cradle-to-grave government programs (which are usually severely mismanaged) that nurture a sense of entitlement and dependency on government; wants to grow government ever larger (despite the already current nightmare proportions); rewards failure and laziness; and perpetuates the myth that we can somehow all live at the expense of everyone else.
Also, the fact is, many (if not all) incumbent politicians in BOTH political parties are despicably pitting Americans citizens and illegal aliens against each other (Democrats for votes and profits; and Republicans for profits from cheap labor). Neither will prosecute the greedy illegal employers of illegal aliens. Total net losses from illegal immigration are anywhere between $70 Billion and $327 Billion annuaully, and that does not even include the several people murdered each day by illegal aliens (or the weapons from the nutty “Fast and Furious” ATF program used to kill hundreds of people including a U.S. border agent).

Please allow me to amplify your signature closing paragraph.

Over 50 million people voted for a person, who cannot produce a birth certificate, nor his college transcripts, nor has every had to meet a payroll. But we did learn from him directly that his most trusted mentor was a communist, his trusted neighbors allowed him to kick off his campaign in their living room (minus the bombs), his pastor of twenty years preached venom.

To me he was a ghost. For this reason. We don’t know what he has done, where he came from, and we know where he wants to take us.

So,” At any rate, the majority of voters have the government that they elect, and re-elect, … , and re-elect, at least, possibly, until repeatedly rewarding failure, repeatedly rewarding the duopoly, and repeatedly rewarding FOR-SALE, incompetent, arrogant, and corrupt incumbent politicians in Congress for these abuses with perpetual re-election finally becomes too painful.”

Health care costs are rising. People are having to change their coverage and health care is not getting better any faster than it would w/o reforms, so - none of the things Obama told us have turned out to be true.

Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. Assume he thought it would be true but just didn’t understand. He is not so smart as some people thought, after all.

I was under the impression that most parts of the bill kick in after 2014. Which parts have already actually kicked in but are not performing as promised?

I can tell you one part that has kicked in; a yearly 15-20% increase in medical insurance premiums.

Do you know your inspiron 1525 battery? When given this question to any user of the t61 battery, they will get confused. This happens to me once when someone asks me about my inspiron 6400 battery. As you can see, before replacing the a1185 battery,it is very important to know a little about the field again in the first place. There are several types ofdell d800 battery that I will share in this post. The types of t60 battery: 1. Alkaline–This is a common dell d620 battery around, but only a few use this kind and the ruling on alkaline dell d630 battery,nv52 battery or dell inspiron 6000 battery will not be rechargeable. You have to shoot once to deflate. 2. Lead Acid–One of the most common use. It is durable, resistant and rechargeable, but unfortunately the “>m1210 battery is heavy and full of lead: P. 3. Lithium-Ion – The type of inspiron 1545 battery or inspiron 1501 battery that you want to have for your laptop. The quick-charge effect is good for users moving (no need to wait a while for the battery is fully charged.) It is also environmentally friendly as well. 4. Nickel Cadmium – Ni-Cd is one of the oldest types and improved performance of rechargeable acer aspire 5520 series battery, but has a serious problem. After prolonged use (several years),acer aspire 5520G battery will be affected by the dreaded memory effect. This means that the use of battery life deteriorates over time. 5. Nickel Metal Hydride – Ni-MH is considered the successor to the Ni-Cd batteries such as acer aspire 5100 battery and acer aspire one battery, but unfortunately, the dreaded memory effect is as bad as well. However, comparison of the Ni-Cd and NiMH batteries, it lasts longer compared to its predecessor. The chances of using lithium-ion apple A1280 battery is 99% (that is if you are using the new breed of laptops). Just check the abbreviation says Lion or Li-Ion batteries in apple A1281 battery label. There are still some laptops that use Ni-MH batteries these days and you may want to check with the manufacturer if you can make an update of Ni-MH Li-Ion. The unauthorized use of Dell latitude D600 battery could lead to dire consequence. so do be very careful about this. If you have a larger budget you might want to check the SMART acer BATBL50L6 battery. It has a power management circuit and also tells the user which is the current condition of the BATBL50L6 replacement battery.
