Politics of Fear

October 12/ 2005
MSNBC Countdown with Keith Olberman
“The Nexus of Politics and Terror” aired two days ago at 8:30 PM.
It was a fascinating look at the timing of hightened alert levels in relation to Federal government downturns.
I think that all who read the text from that show will find it informational and it makes you wonder, would our government really waste resources and tax dollars just to divert our attention from or to them?

Very interesting post. Although this subject has come up before, the way that he presents it, almost black and white, is quite effective.

The one that he left out was the Bin Laden tape three days before the election in 2004. I’ve heard that the Bin Laden tape had been withheld for quite some time prior.

In answer to your question: OF COURSE THEY WOULD WASTE ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING TO DIVERT OUR ATTENTION WHILE INSTITUTING THEIR SELF-INDULGENT AND REALITY-DISTORTED VERSION OF “GOVERNMENT” BY THE *HAVES* FOR THE *HAVE-NOTS*…AND UNLESS YOU HAVEN’T NOTICED, IT’S HAPPENING ALREADY!

Fear is a powerful tool, as Karl Rove knows. It causes those with a newly-realized higher level of consciousness to forget all the progress and evolving they’ve attained and revert back to the “reptilian”-brain type of thinking. Unfortunately, our society as a whole is not advanced enough to realize when they’re being played to and taken for a fool.

I sincerely hope that enough of us do not have to wait until our civilization as we know it crumbles onto the pages of future history books. One need only read up on their history, starting with the Roman Empire: 1,000 years of conquering and ruling until Constantine allowed himself to be persuaded by the Christian Church fathers to make Christianity the official Roman religion. Fifty years later it was proclaimed to be the ONLY religion…Using FEAR and TORTURE, maniacal renegade monks took that as a cue to begin eliminating all those who didn’t believe as they did. A mere 15 years later Rome was ravaged and their program to civilize and democratize the world was put to an end. So much for being “The Greatest”…

Why one cannot recognize themselves in the mirror, and see the irony and futileness of proceeding on the path GWB has dragged all of us onto is beyond comprehension.

I am a democrat and not proud of it, the democrat party that I know seem to me to have turned COMMUNIST, ALL I HEAR FROM THIS PARTY IS LIES AND HATE NOW.

ALL OUR WOULD BE LEADERS, IS FOR EVERY THING BAD AND SEEM TO BE IN THE POCKET OF EVERYONE TRYING TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A RECORD OF HOW MANY OF OUR LEADERS WERE IN SADAMS POCKET ALONG WITH FRANCE, GERMANY AND RUSSIA.

I WONDER IF THE ONES THAT THINK WE SHOULD HAVE NOT GONE TO IRAQ ARE THE ONES! IT DOES MAKE YOU THINK.

I PERSONALLY FEEL THAT A FULL INVESTIGATION SHOULD BE DONE ON EVERY SENATOR AND REPRESENTATIVE, THE SAME AS THE UN.

WE HAVE THE WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION, SADAM.

Mr. Flatt,

You, sir, are a blithering idiot.

All this stuff reminds me of a movie I saw a few years ago called “Wag The Dog”. It was about a president hiring the utlimate spin doctor who blends politics, the media and show biz to salvage a presidency going bad. It starred Robert DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman. If you’ve never seen it…go rent it.

I’d be willing to bet Rove has seen it! LOL
